Sandra Bullock fala sobre a adoção do seu bebê à programa de TV / Sandra Bullock talk about Louis and adoption on TV

'Louis's Got the Stage'

Sandra Bullock may have clout in Hollywood, but there's no doubt who rules the roost at home.

"Louis's got the stage," the Oscar winner, 46, said of her 7-month-old adopted son Tuesday on NBC's Today show.

"No one understands the shift in priorities about having a child in your life that you are responsible for, until you have a child in your life," she said. "It naturally shifts. It just shifted the first day I met him. It was like he'd been there the whole time, yet everything was different."

Bullock also talked about her love for New Orleans and her work to rebuild a school there following Hurricane Katrina. But she was most joyful in discussing Louis, her "little Cajun cookie."

When the adoption finally went through, Bullock says, she wasn't the only one who was thrilled. "Oh, he likes to celebrate. He likes to dance and celebrate," she says. "You know what, I got blessed. I got lucky. He's extraordinary."

for new mom sandra bullock this has been the best of times and the worst of times this year. now she has a new sense of purpose, the school in new orleans .

>> a school that has close to 100% graduation rate, a school that has its very own health clinic . oh, my god, i'm talking like a politician. no offense, but i need to be doing this. no pointing, only thumbs. i know.

>> that is sandra bullock speaking at the warren easton charter school which suffered more than $4 million in damages during hurricane katrina . thanks to the generosity of sandra and other people that school and its students are now thriving. and that's where i met up with her and school board member arthur hardy . i started by asking arthur how sandra and the school got connected.

>> she found us and through due diligence but called me on a sunday afternoon.

>> she called you personally?

>> yes, this is sandra bullock .

>> i like to cold call people. how you doing? what's happening?

>> i'm in the mardi gras business and i deal with crazy people every day, so when she said, this is sandra bullock , yeah, i'm clark gable . i was about to hang up. who knows? no, it really is. and it really was. pretty cool.

>> and tell me how the conversation went.

>> she knew what we were all about and i think had done enough work to know we were the real deal . and once she came and met the kids, it was all over. i didn't have to sell.

>> something arthur has said in an interview in the past, it's one thing for sandra bullock to come in here and give us some of her money or help us raise money but you said something else about her. you said she also arrived at a time where we needed a cheerleader.

>> and i was a cheerleader. not a very good one in high school but i did my best.

>> i'm speaking in more than the general sense.

>> i know, matt.

>> that's exactly right. and i believe she thinks as we do that public school education is the answer to crime, poverty, prejudice. i mean, a good school system . we want the whole city system, not just us, we want to be the best among many good schools and i think we're an example it can be done. it takes a lot of work but, yes, you can do it.

>> one of the things the floodwaters exposed here in this city was this -- i don't have a better term, abject poverty and the fear here and i think in a lot of people's minds in new orleans , those same people most victimized by that hurricane have been left out of the recovery, that they aren't the ones who are enjoying the recovery. how do you feel about that?

>> there are a lot of things that fell through the cracks during this storm, and it was embarrassing. those cracks exist throughout the united states , throughout the world, and it just sort of opened up something that i don't think people knew about or maybe didn't want to see. but right here under this roof there are souls and spirits and young people who don't come from any money but carry this extraordinary spirit to, like, override that, suck in every ounce of education the school provides and get out of here and create a life for them that is beautiful and fulfilling and filled with all those things they might not have had. people who shouldn't be left behind are let behind but let the school be an example how we don't need to leave anyone behind.

>> we've known each other for a pretty long time.

>> i don't admit to that.

>> i will. i'm proud of it.

>> really?

>> i've never heard the level of passion. where did this passion come from for this particular city?

>> i spent so many summers and new years and fun times in new orleans . it was always a place i felt i could go and actually let go and enjoy the spirit of something.

>> your connection to this city just got deeper officially. you finalized your adoption.

>> i did, i did. and louie is from new orleans .

>> he's from new orleans . a little cajun cookie.

>> you are forever hitched.

>> i am. how lucky am i?

>> what was it like? when you finalized that, a long process --

>> a long process. as sterile as the room seemed, it felt so rich. it felt like it was time. and the process is the way that the process is for very, very good reasons and i did not circumvent. i wanted to do everything exactly the same way everyone else did. it was nice to have someone say, i think you're a fit parent, which is what i heard, which is like --

>> the water works again. but you can't celebrate too long. you have to go home and change diapers and feed. kids don't care about celebrations.

>> no, he does. he likes to celebrate. he likes to celebrate. he likes to dance and celebrate. you know what, i got blessed, i got lucky, and he's extraordinary.

>> the nicest thing i read that you said recently, you said even throughout the whole process, i didn't care what he would look like or whether it would be a he or she --

>> what color --

>> i just had faith that they were going to put me together with the right child. where did that faith come from? it doesn't always happen that way.

>> i don't know. everything works out the way the universe wants it to work out. and we always said that it didn't matter where the child came from, the child that needed us in the home is the child that's going to be placed.

>> looking forward to your future with louie , you said recently, i want to feel the sun on our face when we go for a walk, not having to hide anymore, not having my friends and family lie anymore, telling everyone i meet about the most beautiful man i know including his poop schedule.

>> pretty regular.

>> how close are you to that day?

>> well, the poop schedule is pretty regular.

>> not what i meant.

>> you brought it up. i'd like to share it with america. he has a healthy poop schedule. mom! thanks so much. i was saying to a girlfriend of mine, no one understands the shift in priorities about having a child in your life that you are responsible for until you have a child in your life. it naturally shifts. it just shifted the first day i met him and he'd been there the whole time yet everything was different so now louie 's got the stage.

>> one thing i want to compliment you on, you managed to do something this year that is almost impossible. you have, "a," kept a secret concerning your adoption, and you found a way to retain privacy at a time where it wasn't all that private. it takes friends.

>> it takes good people with integrity. i read something like how did someone keep a secret? human beings exist that have integrity that know how to keep their mouth shut, that nope the bigger picture, that don't sell out their friends. they are all over the place. we don't like to talk about it because it doesn't sell a magazi magazine. i was blessed with the same friends i've had before things got really special for me and blessed in life and when things get bad, they're still the same friends. everything passes. it all passes but they just, you know, they know if they screw up, they're not coming on the next vacation. i'm not going to babysit their kids, i will cut them. i will take them out.

>> no premiere tickets?

>> they don't really want to go, which is nice. i have friends and family that are filled with maximum amounts of integrity. it shouldn't be an oddity.

>> all in two words, no comment.

>> i was speaking to a local journalist here the other day as part of the anniversary of katrina and at the end of him asking me questions, he said, do me a favor, be nice to sandra . because she to us here is a hero.

>> wow. making me teary.

>> it's true. it's true.

>> it's random acts of kindness .

>> this whole city has fallen in love with her. she belongs to us. don't mess with sandra .

>> i like that.

>> i'm serious. you heard her, you herpd us, you'd better be ready for a fight.

>> they really do love her down there.

>> she is delicious.

>> she is doing great work with that school . more on the warren easton charter school at todayshow.com.

"Nova Orleans é a cidade dele e ele saberá disso".

Sandra Bullock Praises New Orleans School for Hurricane Recovery

Despite the rain-soaked gray Sunday morning and the somber fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, Sandra Bullock managed to get a laugh out of the crowd at Warren Easton Charter High School in New Orleans.

Flipping over an hourglass, the Oscar-winning actress joked, "THIS is all the time I have."

Bullock, a part-time New Orleans resident, donated money to help rebuild the school and to open a student health clinic. She appeared at weekend events to pay tribute to those behind the hurricane recovery effort.

"I have seen nothing but unimaginable kindness, perseverance and hope right in this room here," said Bullock. "It gives me great pleasure to be in the company of these people who have actually made the difference. They did the hard work, they are here sitting before you."

Joking that she was beginning to sound like a politician – "No offense," she laughed to U.S. Sens. Mary Landrieu and David Vitter – Bullock said that despite the devastation, the anniversary should be seen as day for celebration.

"These young adults have seen the very worst, and they are committed to the very best," said Bullock. " They are our future leaders. I would like to thank the students who step up to the plate and do the hardest work. I didn't do it in high school, and it makes me so incredibly proud."

Wearing a V-neck dark blue knee-length dress, black belt and heels, Bullock stood with school nurse Cassondra Ferrand and principal Alexina Medley and other officials to cut the gold ribbon on the new health facility behind the school.

"It was more than her money," says Easton Foundation board member Arthur Hardy. "She is like our spiritual leader. She is our angel."

"What do you say about a human being who just pours out their heart and soul, who puts their money where their mouth is, walks the walk, talks the talk," adds Landrieu. "And even if is was just in a movie, she married a New Orleans boy."

'I'd thank God to have Sandra Bullock as a wife,' says Harry Connick Junior

Singer Harry Connick Junior has described his pal Sandra Bullock as an 'incredible woman' whom he would 'thank God' to have as a wife.
The actor and jazz pianist gushed about the Oscar-winning actress as he discussed her relentless commitment to his beloved home city of New Orleans, devastated by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
When asked by talk show host Larry King about Bullock's recent traumas over the breakdown of her marriage, Connick Jnr - who is happily married - seemed to send out a stark message to her cheating soon-to-be-ex-husband Jesse James.

Ring of truth: Singer Harry Connick Junior points to his wedding band as he's interviewed by Larry King and speaks up for his close friend Sandra Bullock
'I think Sandy is an incredible woman and she doesn't need my prayers, she's so strong,' he said, during Friday night's special episode to mark the five-year anniversary of the deadly hurricane.
'I pray for her and I send her emails and tell her I love her and I hope she's doing well.
'That woman is one of the fiercest, strongest most dedicated people I know.
'It's sucks, man. Let's put it this way, if she was my wife I would be on my knees thanking God that I had a woman like that.
'Everybody's different but I know her pretty well. Like my wife now, I wouldn't screw that up for all the money in the world, for anything.'
Pointing to his own wedding ring, he added: 'This means a lot.

Model mother: Sandra Bullock pictured earlier this month with her adopted baby Louis in her arms
'It's a pretty serious commitment, I'm not passing judgment on anyone but whoever ends up with her (Bullock) for good is gonna be one lucky son of a gun.
'I know her son doesn't even know how lucky he is.'

Running in Circles for Helga & a Recipe to Aid a Moving Benedition

I started running in 2000. I'd put on my ratty sweats, roughly scrape my hair into a pony tail, check to see that mom was comfortable and then I'd walk the half block down 26th street to North Fillmore, cross the street and then I'd start what had become a moving prayer.

I ran a 1/4 mile loop over and over, a loose circle lined with childhood memories: That's where the Carreys lived until 7th grade, and the Rattigans were nestled down that side street until sometime in 4th grade and the Wrenns had always faced directly onto the main drag across from Woodmont elementary. All these neighbors, they used to bear witness to my mother running this same circuit every day. On a slow day, she'd average five miles. That's 20 laps. On a training day, she'd edge towards 20 miles.

My sad sack hamstrings screamed after one measly mile. But I bullied on, one sloppy footfall after another, my jagged rhythm playing metronome to my silent benediction, "please. please. please. please."

Please, stop her suffering. Please, show her mercy. Please, give her comfort. Please.

Less than nine years before I started my pathetic 4 lap devotional, my mother was running marathons. How was it that she was now dying of cancer?

And because I'd asked "Why?" every day for the five years she'd suffered without so much as a cosmic courtesy reply, on her last days I ran in her honor and in her footsteps to plead for the end of her suffering.

She's been gone for close to eleven years and I still ask please. Please stop the suffering. Please show some mercy. Please give us comfort. Please, enough with the cancer already.

Since I haven't gotten so much as an automatic "out of office" email response to my non-denominational ecumenical badgering, I've decided to stop asking, to stop pleading and to simply start running. To honor Helga. To honor all the wonderful souls who have suffered from cancer. I'm running what I think of as Helga's race, The Marine Marathon, to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Donate here if you can.

Please and thank you! Gesine Bullock Prado

A Warner Bros. e a Paramount seriam as possíveis co-produtoras do filme.

In what would be her first movie project since winning the Best Actress Oscar for The Blind Side, Sandra Bullock could be starring opposite Tom Hanks in the drama Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close – if two studios have their way, reports Variety.

Offers have gone out to the actors from Warner Bros. and Paramount, which would jointly release the movie, to be produced by Scott Rudin, says the trade paper.

Lined up to direct is Stephen Daldry, whose The Reader won a Best Actress Oscar for Kate Winslet. The script, by Oscar winner Eric Roth (Forrest Gump), is based on the 2005 Jonathan Safran Foer novel about a 9-year-old, Oskar Schell, who's lost his father in the 9/11 attacks.

The boy searches all over Manhattan for a lock to match the key he's found in a vase that belonged to his dad.

Double Oscar winner Hanks, most recently heard as the voice of Woody the cowboy in this summer's Disney-Pixar smash Toy Story 3, will next be seen opposite his Charlie Wilson's War costar, Julia Roberts, in Larry Crowne – which Hanks also directed and produced.

Bryan Cranston, Cedric the Entertainer, Nia Vardalos and Wilmer Valderrama also costar in the comedy-drama, which is to be released next year

Sandra Bullock on Jesse James: 'We Have Both Moved On'

Sandra Bullock is offering words of welcome as her ex-husband Jesse James prepares to move to her adopted hometown in Texas.

"I support Jesse in his move to Austin," the Oscar winner, 46, tells PEOPLE exclusively in this week's cover story. "We have both moved on with our lives and only want the best for each other. Anything else that is said on my behalf is inaccurate."

For Bullock, moving on includes finalizing her adoption of 8-month-old son Louis on Aug. 13 surrounded by friends and her sister Gesine in a New Orleans courtroom. "She is so in love with her child," says a source.

As for motorcycle CEO James, 41 – who recently stepped out in Las Vegas with LA Ink star Kat Von D. – he too is starting to move on in the wake of the cheating scandal that led to his June divorce from Bullock, according to a James source.

"I think he's starting to grasp reality a bit more," says the source, "and the realization that it's going to take a lot longer and a lot more than he thought to bring things back to what they were."

Jesse James jealous of Sandra Bullock’s bodyguard, is baby Louis in danger?

There are two big stories about Sandra Bullock in this week’s tabloids, and both center around the fact that she’s beefed up her security lately. Let’s start with the more frivolous story, from Star Magazine, about how Sandra’s attractive bodyguard has moved in with her, making her serial cheating ex husband, Jesse James, jealous. Hypocritical much? Star does have evidence that the bodyguard is living with Sandra, as listed in court papers seeking a restraining order against her longterm stalker. Here’s Star’s report, and even if it’s purely a business relationship and they’re not living together I could see how Jessie would be jealous of the guy:

[Sandra's] handsome driver-turned-bodyguard, Damien “Showtime” Holton [has] been at [her] side since she split from her cheating ex-husband, Jesse James, in March.

Damien has been photographed numerous times over the last few months leading Sandra and her adopted 8-month-old son, Louis, a broad shoulder to lean on. And the situation is the same behind closed doors! Star has learned that Damian is living with her - and Jesse is furious over the turn of events, especially since Damian previously worked as one of his drivers!

“Jesse’s always been a superjealous guy to being with, but seeing Sandra and Damian together has really put him over the edge,” a friend tells Star. “Damian is younger, better looking and more level-headed than Jesse. Add the fact that he used to drive 18-wheelers between California and Texas for Jesse, and it’s not hard to understand why he’s seeing red.

[From Star Magazine, print edition, August 16, 2010]

We don’t have access to photos of Sandra out with Damian, but here’s a link to some of those pictures. (Damian is carrying her bag.) He’s a handsome guy with olive skin and a skinny goatee. He looks too young for her though and has kind of a baby face. Star notes that Damian has worked with Sandra on six films as an assistant, dating back to 2002. He’s probably more of a loyal trusted employee than any kind of romantic interest.

Gossip Cop asked Sandra’s rep about this rumor and received the response that “They’re not living together… It’s a huge lie.” Only Star had the evidence from Sandra’s July restraining order in which the box for “Lives with You?” was checked “yes” by Damian’s name, so at least we know where they got the idea.

Meanwhile The National Enquirer’s cover story is about how Sandra’s adopted baby, Louis, has been threatened by racists and extremists. This story is much more serious and I hope it’s overblown. They report that Sandra has hired 15 bodyguards, though, so she must be taking the hate mail seriously. Here’s more from the Enquirer:

Sandra Bullock’s adopted baby is in extreme danger!

Fanatical racists and crazed individuals have targeted the 7-month-old black youngster - plunging the once-ecstatic new mom into the depths of despair as she battles to protect her precious little boy, say sources.

The “Blind Side” star is badly shaken by vicious death threats and rattled by a kidnapping plot and a murder-for-hire scheme investigated by the FBI…

A distraught Sandra has virtually turned her home into a semi-armed camp -with as many as 15 bodyguards - and has even welcomed ex-husband Jesse James back into her life to help protect Louis.

“Sandra’s baby is in extreme danger!” a Los Angeles police source close to Bullock’s security detail told the Enquirer.

Alarming mail directed at the cute youngster bristles with hate.

“He’s better off dead,” fumed one, and another ominously threatened to “take him back to where he belongs,” according to the police source…

“The threats began developing during her ugly split from Jesse as details about little Louis became known…

“And the FBI indicates there are several radical groups who want to harm her and the child.”

Jesse James Sent Sandra Bullock Birthday Gifts

But She Tried To Send Them Back!
Jesse James tried to woo his ex with flowers, chocolate, jewelry and even a call from his daughter, Sunny, on her 46th birthday, but Sandra Bullock saw right through his sneaky ruse!

Nice try, but no cigar, Jesse James. Your ex-wife, Sandra Bullock, is NOT going to take your sorry, cheating self back even though you showered her with birthday gifts this year!

The West Coast Choppers owner tried to woo his ex-wife (the two finalized their divorce June 28) on her 46th birthday July 26 with a variety of presents, including what he knew she'd love best - a phone call from his beloved daughter, Sunny. "Jesse first had Sunny call Sandra to wish her a happy birthday, and then he sent flowers, chocolates and jewelry," one of Sandra's BFF's tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively.

The last ditch effort didn't fly with Sandy, who "told Jesse she didn't want his gifts, but he wouldn't take them back. Sandra will never wear the jewelry and gave all the flowers and chocolates to her staff," our insider reports.

Instead, Sandra spent the day with her adopted son, Louis Bardo Bullock, and then had a small celebration with family and friends later that night.

Although he wasn't invited to the party, Jesse hasn't seem to give up hope that one day he'll get his lost love back - but she's sick of his efforts! "Jesse just doesn't get it!" grouses the source. "He won't stop trying to see or talk to Sandra. She has no intention of getting back with him at this point, but he's going to keep trying until she says yes."
